THIS PLAY IS FAMILY FRIENDLY. "The Curious Savage" is a heartwarming and comedic play by John Patrick that tells the story of Mrs. Ethel Savage, a wealthy widow who has just lost her husband. In an effort to protect her late husband's wealth, Mrs. Savage's greedy stepchildren commit her to a sanatorium with the hopes of obtaining her fortune. But little do they know, Mrs. Savage is far from being a passive patient. With her wit and charm, she befriends the patients and staff at the sanatorium and, along the way, teaches everyone the true meaning of happiness and the importance of love and generosity.
